Like Father, Like Son

Like Father

Like Son

Si, Senor.

Odin has started to grab things. He really concentrates on trying to get them, but he hasn't quite got the hang of it. Tonight while laying in bed looking at his mobile he somehow grabbed the stuffy.

O Christmas Tree

Christmas 2002
I remember one of my favorite things about Christmas was the Christmas tree. Then when I was old enough I looked forward to helping Mom decorate the tree. This tree was from our last Christmas in China Dad would bring back candy canes from the States and we would eat them on Christmas day.

Christmas 2003

My Dad, me, and my two sisters arrived back in the States early December we had barely anything, but we did have a Christmas tree. Mom wasn't there to decorate the tree, I expected Joan to do it but I guess she saw how much I wanted to so she put me in charge. With hardly anything to decorate it, we bought some poinsettias form the dollar store and went with a "nature tree". I actually really liked the way it turned out.

Christmas 2004

Over the year we had collected more decorations from garage sales and we had a lot more that year. I began to find out my "style" of tree decorating. No colored lights, no tinsel garlands.

Christmas 2005
This picture isn't the original tree that I had decorated. I wanted something really pretty that year, we had gotten some decorations from my brother when he had moved so I was really looking forward to decorating the tree. I had white lights, big white bows, white, silver, gold, and purple bobbles. I put so much into that tree I thought it was the prettiest tree I had ever done. Unfortunately not everyone thought so and my "beautiful" tree was voted out and I redecorated it. I hated that tree.

Christmas 2006

Not wanting a repeat of the year before I tried to go for a more colorful tree I made little red and gold presents to hang on the tree and went with a red and gold tree. The actual tree that year was really pretty with a very blue tint. I decorated the tree the night before i went on the road for our big Christmas push, ahh memories.

Christmas 2007
This year I wanted to draw more people into decorating the tree and sharing me joy but at the same time I wanted my pretty tree. Oh, what to do, so we got two trees. Mark had the idea of everyone making a decoration for the tree so almost everything on the tree was made by someone in the home. Even though it in't what I consider the preties of trees I think by far it's my favorite because everyone put something into it, but more that that it has helped me to see that pretty is not what makes a tree special, family is what makes is special.

My Baby

He's growing and changing so much. He's starting to reach for things. He laughs all the time now. He cries for me(not really a good thing but hey, it makes me feel loved). He loves getting ready for bed cause he knows it's time for play and cuddles with me. He hardly ever sleeps, grrr less free time. Anyhow, I love him, he's such a cutie.
Big news Steph had her baby a few days ago, don't know his name yet but he is a cutie too.

Gods little miracles

A few weeks ago we had a little excitement up here on the farm. It was around 11:00 when someone crashed into our mail boxes, bulldozed through them, knocked over a telephone pole, then landed in a ditch. Apparently he had fallen asleep while driving home from work. Thankfully he came through this with just a scratch, literally. We helped him out as much as we could gave him an Activated mag and we thought that was the end of it. Well, it isn't. As the Christmas push is well under way and we do most of our witnessing four hours away in NY City we are left at home with a very scanty team of Me, Prom, the Junior teens, and the littlest children to hold down the fort. Well because we are so few I and Kat went out to shovel our very large drive way which happened to be covered with rock hard frozen snow. While I chopped the ice and Kat shoveled we heard a honking on the road and saw a large pickup with a large snow shovel in the front. Being in a jovial mood we joked about how mean he was to be making fun of our very puny efforts in comparison to his ""shovel truck". Five minuets later there was Mr. "shovel truck" offering to help us shovel our drive way. Turns out he was the guy who crashed in our drive way. I was shocked, it's one of those things you always wish would happen to you but never does, except this time it did. God works in mysterious ways.

We aren't really shoveling here, we are...you get the picture.

Takin A Bit Out The Big Apple

Here I am; Jersey City, or a lil place I've come to call "Home away from home". Man, I'm such a city slicker, it ain't even funny. I love comin to the city, it's where the action is. Most people think I'm crazy when I say this, but I enjoy comin out here. dare I say, I even enjoy listenin to the night life. You know, the drunks under the window singin off key to the song that's been playin on the radio for the last 6 months... No one, No one, No one.....can get in the way of what I feel (Alisha Keys). The occasional car boomin their speakers as loud as they can as if to wake up sleepin residence only to fade off into a ally somewhere. If the the truth be told, I love the sounds of the city at night. If the truth be told, it helps me sleep better. Does this sound crazy? Most likely, but it's what I am accustomed to. I don't speak about it though, because I know how much some people hate it, so I just keep it to myself.

10 days... 10 days is how long I'm gonna be away from Terri and Odin. I left them up state so I can hit the city hard for Christmas push. I miss them already, and yes; they are my reason for goin back to the country every week. And this time it looks like I'll be stayin in the city Overtime...

I miss you guys...

I got me 6 souls today... hope I'll be able to get some more tomorrow. I don't know why there isn't more Family here. Is it the weather? The expense of living here? The smog? Sure, these sound like logical reasons for not wanting to start a home here, I just hope the "Cold hearted people" ain't the reason; because that'd just be stupid. Or even the fact that it don't get more "Babylon The Whore" then this, isn't in my book a good reason.
Wanna know my opinion on the difference between these people and lets sayyyyy, the people in Cali?
One of the main things thats stands out to me the most is the fact that New Yorkers ain't fake, They are very genuine people. For example, you don't see them tryin a copy the latest Hollywood star...you know why? Because each and every living person here believes in his heart that HE is the next star....or that Hollywood simply stole his style.
Sure they can be mean, sure they can come across cold, but let me tell you somfin. It's not that their mean, it's not that their cold; It's that there honest. Their straight forward people who's gonna tell ya what they think. There ain't fake smiles here, theres no "oh I'm sorry, I give to my church". There is simple Yes or No's... for me personally, this makes life easier.

My Dad was Born and raised in Long Island, NY... people that knew him knew that he was rough around the the edges. A lot of them didn't even like him or the fact that he was so straight forward. From my experience New yorkers tend to give you hell if they don't trust you. But if you truly believe in the work you are doing for the Lord and say it with Honest conviction, they will sense it, and you will win over a loyal friend. But if you're shady, and fall quickly under their seemingly cold outward appearance, then thats all you'll get from them.
Ha, it's funny.... Once this feisty 80 somfin year old New yorker lady drove up to me and said fearlessly. "I don't believe you; I think you are going to take my money and use it for drugs". I pretended to be shocked at what she said and told her with a stern voice, "Whoa, Lady... I'm a missionary for Jesus, Not a liar"! She looked at me, nodded her head and said..."Oh, good; here you go sonny"; and gave me 4 bucks...haha. See thats the trick...... They only pretend to be tough when their just simply lookin for answers like everyone else.
So if The Lord ever called me to stay in the states, guess where I'd be? My heart goes out to these people... As screwed over by the devil this city is, there are still precious people here who are still looking for someone who has answers.

(I know you're Smiling down on me Dad, miss ya)

Another ThanxLiving

Man, I have so much to be thankful for. To this day it is hard for me to believe that Jesus loves me this much. More and more I find myself saying in my mind, “I don’t deserve this”, I don’t deserve this”. And even more and more the blessings continue, washing away the grief of my past. Adding up the past two years, I could easily make a list of all the things I am thankful for. I ain’t good with calculations, but I bet if I did, it’d be pretty big.

With so much to be thankful for, it’s hard to go in order and put them all into words. It is much easier for me to thank him for his blessings when I am reminded of them, kind of a “spare of the moment” type thing, which is fine with me, and I believe he listens and knows my heart. But since there is in fact so much to thank him for, so much that even my mind, my mouth, or even my typing and spelling can’t do it justice; I will go ahead and thank him for my most recent blessings, the ones that have had the greatest impact on my life… Thank you for your love, Jesus!

Anyhow, I know you all are probably doin what everyone else in my home does when I post pic's of the lil man. but you all needa see some of these; the faces he makes around a table full of thanks giving food is pretty funny. So go ahead, call me a "Doting Father", see if I care! as long as he's this cute, thats exactly what I'll be... hehe

Love you'z..

Happy ThanxLiving, Ya'll

My Mama'z Visit

She came, she kissed'm, she spoiled'm with love. She kept tellin me how similar I was to My puppy when I was a puppy once, which was slightly annoying, though good to know . She took extra steps to try and school me in front of the home why Veggies are good for me. Don't worry Mom, I'll start liking Veggies once I get sick of meat.
It was the first time I seen her in years. Someone who ain't seen their mother in several years would probably notice any aging features, but I have to admit from the way she'd smile while holdin Odin in her arms, you'd think she was in her mid-twenties. It was good having her, hope she comes back to New York City sometimes, so I could show off my skills in gettin around through public trans. Tx Mama, I love ya.... As for your cookin, what can I say? You Still Got It!

SEXY MAN, SEXY MAN...

Our little blue eyed one.

Loves the water.
Daddy, the doting father.

His first time giving Odin a bath, with the help of Mommy of course.

Now, for all of you who have wondered if Jaydee could sing and not just rap.
I filmed this video unbeknownst to him and yes, he can sing, snicker.
