My brother Joey got jumped in Ohio yesterday. He is in the Hospital with a cracked jaw, a broken nose, a cracked skull, and air in is brain. With everything he's gone through the Lord is obviously seeing fit to continue his shake down in the desire to see him make the right choices in his life. So please, if you read this, shoot up a quick prayer for him, he needs'm.

Can you count???

This Post is dedicated to little Bradyn, the naughty rascal of the house, which of course makes him the cutest. He's our little dark chocolate candy. He's learning how to count and often walks around spacing out counting but as you can see from this video sometimes he gets a little repetitive. He loves pushing the babies on the swing, he always counts before he lets them go then lets them swing, grabs the swing and starts counting again.

Our Little Orangutan

Little Odin is now 7 months old and is getting cuter every day. Last month he got his two bottom teeth and learned how to sit up with out falling over.

Now he is getting ready to crawl. He rolls all over the place and almost gets up on his hands and knees but he hasn't quite gotten it yet, he just doesn't seem to want to put the effort into it.

He cries mama whenever he is distressed or if he sees me and can't be with me, which of course I love because it makes me feel special. Of course he loves being with daddy and daddy claims he said dada, but I haven't heard him say that yet.

Now that spring is here he loves playing outside he just hates the sun so we wears a dorky little sun hat outside.

Mountain Stream

PIONEERS MUST HAVE VISION--VISION TO SEE WHAT NO ONE ELSE CAN SEE; FAITH--FAITH TO BELIEVE THINGS NO ONE ELSE BELIEVES; INITIATIVE--INITIATIVE TO BE THE FIRST ONE TO TRY IT; COURAGE--THE GUTS TO SEE IT THROUGH!

LONG AFTER THE VALLEY WAS IN DARKNESS I COULD STILL SEE THE SUN. THERE IS MORE LIGHT ON THE MOUNTAIN. The valley is almost always dark--full of people & things, but usually in darkness. The mountain is windy & cold but thrilling! You really have to have the feeling that it's really worth dying for!--ANY MOUNTAIN--THE MOUNTAIN OF THIS LIFE, THE MOUNTAIN OF ACCOMPLISHMENT, THE MOUNTAIN OF OBSTACLES, OF DIFFICULTY--IF YOU'RE GOING TO CLIMB THEM, THEY HAVE TO BE WORTH DYING FOR, to brave wind & cold & storm, symbolic of adversities. But on the mount alone you feel so close to the Lord! The voice of His Spirit there is so loud it's almost like it's thundering! The voice of the multitude is so loud in the valley, you can't hear the voice of God. The silence on the mountain peak is deafening! You get a real "high" on top of a mountain! It's a thrill! It's almost terrifying!

We had Wordtime outside the other day, it was super inspiring. We stoked a fire while reading a few old-goldy letters.

We roasted some marshmallow and apples, to supply food to our bodies whilst we were feeding our souls.

After I, and every daring Kat took a dip in the stream. Yes, it was freezing cold. And yes, I squealed, but hey in my defense everyone know that when you squeal in makes the water less cold.
Everyone you do know this, right?

ONLY IN AMERICA

.....do drugstores make the sick walk all the way to the back of
the store to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front.

Only in America .....do people order

double cheeseburgers, large fries, and a diet coke.

Only in America ......do banks leave both doors open and then chain the pens to the counters.

Only in America ......do we leave cars

worth thousands of dollars in the
driveway and put our useless junk in the garage.

Only in America ......do we buy hot dogs in packages of ten and buns in packages of eight.

Only in America ......do we use the word 'politics' to describe the process so well: 'Poli' in Latin meaning 'many' and 'tics' meaning 'blood sucking creatures'.

Only in America .....do they have drive-up ATM machines with Braille lettering.

EVER WONDER ....

Why does the sun lightens our hair,
but darkens our skin ?

Why women can't put on mascara with their mouth closed?

Why don't you ever see the headline "Psychic Wins Lottery"?

Why is "abbreviated" such a long word?

Why is it that doctors call what they do "practice"?

Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor, and dishwashing liquid made with real lemons?

Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker?

Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour?

Why isn't there mouse-flavored cat food?

Why didn't Noah swat those two mosquitoes?

Why do they sterilize the needle for lethal injections?

You know that indestructible black box tha t is used on airplanes? Why don't they make the whole plane out of that stuff?!

Why don't sheep shrink when it rains?

Why are they called apartments when

they are all stuck together?

If con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of progress?

If flying is so safe,
why do they call the airport the terminal?

Little Plot Of...

Now that the weather is warm enough I have started my garden again. Now when I say "garden" you may picture a beautiful place with wild, exotic, peaceful, colorful, or just pretty flowers and plants. Well, this does not describe my garden at all. You see I have what is known as a brown thumb, I pretty much kill any sort of green vegetation I try to grow. In fact last year when Maria asked about my garden she said, "Your garden looks very...green." And I had to admit there wasn't really any color in the garden, except for one pot of flowers, all the flowers I had planted had never grown. Why start something that with my talents, or lack there of, seems like a waste. well, there were three reasons I started a garden, 1.) we had a large area in our Yard that looked like it had once been a garden but was now over grown. 2.) I was pregnant and want a less strenuous exercise, and 3.) I love being outside in the spring. So me and my mom started "our" garden. I like to comfort myself that the reason we didn't get any flowers last year was because we were concentrating on clearing away the many wild and unwanted plants and making our little plot of land more garden like. This year I want to do better so I got a book, "Basic Gardening for Dummies." It claims to be able to help turn my brown thumb into a green one, I hope it works.
