A Whole Year
We made it through
A whole year.
And we did so much more
Than just make it through.
We loved it through.
We shared it through.
We laughed it through.
We dreamed it through.
It was a whole year
Of caring about each other.
Some days we were angry
At each other.
Some days we even plotted
To get even
With each other.
Some days we refused to talk
To each other.
And some nights
We wiggled around in bed
To make sure we didn't
Even touch
Each other.
But those were the exceptions,
Not the rule.
Most of the time
The sound of your voice,
The sight of your face,
The touch of your hand
Made me feel like
A new person
All over.
